Title: SMD component identification
Post by: ElectricGuy on February 02, 2016, 03:12:29 pm
Hi;

Can somebody help me confirm that the component on the red circle of the image is a SN74LVC1G3157.
The component is marked 3157 and is placed in a TFT display board.
IT gets really hot, over 160º measured with a "special edition" Flir E4, and if i freeze it with freeze spray the display board works.
Also, is the package SC-70?

Thank you.

The part might be SGM3157 (datasheet shows 3157 as the marking instead of C5 on the other P/N), but comparing the two datasheets they look similar enough to probably be interchangeable.

That would also match the SC-70 package too.

So probably the part is not broken but heavily overloaded?
