SML01 Repair Amplifier Replacment
« on: May 17, 2019, 02:03:32 pm »
Hello All,

I am currently working on my first repair of an RF signal generator. I bough the machine and it seems to have everything wrong with it. The LCD is dead the PLL was unlocked and the output if non existent. I managed to fix the PLL and the LCD can be ignored thanks to a nice RS232 interface on the back of the machine.

I am now repairing the output stage. I have traced the signal up to the output Amplifier before the Attenuator. When probed this amplifier is clearly dead. However I cannot for the life of me figure out the part number. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas, or ideas for possible replacements if this part doesn't exist.

If you tell us the make and model we might be able to help you find service info specific to it.  Post a photo of the overall unit so we can see?

Good luck with your repair.
