sometimes I'm lucky and I found a scope!

So sometimes I'm lucky!
Last friday I menage to find in the garbage of my university an oscilloscope! I menage to find the the lecroy wavesurfer 454 and now I take it home. (Luckly my mum work at my univesity so it ask to the guy that apparently "menage" the garbage and he let him to take the scope at home)!!!
But of course it not work. There was a label on it that tell two problems: Power supply and vertical amp.
I menage to dissasenbled and I arleady found a bad ic on  the psu.
The big problem is that on the net there is no service info on the scope!
Any way something is better than nothing!

Hi

IF there is enough of the markings left on the IC, get a good picture of them. If there are no markings left, at least get a shot of the package and the parts around it. Anything you can do to trace the general circuit it's it is likely to help identify it.
