Sony AX-8000 Digital display / radio

Hi,
Looking to see if anyone has any experience with this display. It's installed in a RV with cameras attached to see the left, right and backup. The display plugs into the main unit straight in. Unfortunately, the adjustments are up/down, tilt +/- 10 deg, in/out. There is no left/ right. The display is totally washed out from light from the passenger window making it useless for lane change and backup. Sony can not or will not provide any information on an extender cable or flex strip to add from the main unit to the display. The mechanical bracket is not an issue, its the electrical part that is the problem. I hesitate to disassemble anything because its still under warranty.
