I'm looking for advice for how to proceed repairing this power board for a Sony SNC-CS10/CS11 camera. I previously repaired one of these that just had a blow fuse, and when this ones fuse was blown I figured it would also be a simple repair. I put in the new fuse, but it blew immediately so I took it apart and started poking around.
When I probed the common mode choke with my multimeter I found that there was a dead short between the two sides of the AC input. I think that the short has to be in the choke itself, D853, D854 or one of the components under the choke D851, D852, or C851 - C854 as those are the only components that are before the "C9 7N" diodes and I don't read the short past them. I'm not sure how to isolate the short any further except by starting to remove components.
If I'm totally wrong in my diagnosis or if you can give men any advice on how to proceed it would be be appreciated.
For reference the AC 24v input is on pins 1 and 2 of CN802, pins 3, 4, 7 and 8 are chassis ground. That's as far as I've worked out so far. I've also included a picture of a second camera opened, but with everything still wired up, just for reference.

Flux in itself might not be conductive, but once you start to get all kinds of things mixed with flux it might become conductive. Things like moisture from the air and all kinds of things.

I didn't think it would help, but I cleaned off the flux residue anyway. It didn't make a difference. I know the CS10 was a budget camera by Sony's standards but I was pretty disappointed when I saw all that flux residue on the board when I first opened it.

short is the easiest type of defect to diagnose
just start pulling components until there is no short

If you are reading across the choke, it's normal to have a low ohm reading on the meter.

If you are reading across the choke, it's normal to have a low ohm reading on the meter. Where exactly are you measuring the short?

I would definitely clean the board off. You have a lot of crusty parts and connections.

We know that security camera save the hidden record and we can store all data in hard drive, But recently I faced the security camera power board problem. Then I uninstall the software from my device. But when I tried to reinstall at that time cctv installation (https://www.uaetechnician.com/CCTV-Installation.html) failed message shown on my system. I was so frustrated with that problem. Need suggestion.
