Sony soundbase HT-XT2

Really inspired by Dave and his videos and you guys helping....

Setting up an electronics lab, different story, but have reworking capability...

My sound base (SONY HT-XT2) has become unresponsive. This appears to be a common problem for these, I can find a service manual for the HT-XT1 and the HT-XT3, but no HT-XT2

1) Anyone know where I can get a service manual from? 
2) To be honest it kind of works but is dead slow, as if the clock speed has gone, or the software is busy. Nothing obviously blown
I've tried to update the firmware, but like most things it is a) up to date and b) won't let me upgrade to same version.
