Sourcing Obsolete Parts

I'm in the process of repairing a US Interface (Timewave) Navigator soundcard modem that suffered lightning damage to the USB input. I've replaced the fuse and power management chip, but have run into my first obsolete chip in the USB 1.1 hub controller (ATMEL/Microchip AT43301-SU), which doesn't doesn't have a pin-compatible replacement.

None of the main US distributors (Arrow, Digikey, Mouser) carry this part, but I was able to find one supplier in China called SICSTOCK.COM that carries this chip.

There was one other mention of this supplier, but I've never dealt with them and was wondering if they're a trustworthy source for NOS parts, or if these are cheap clones.
