SUGON 3005D 30V 5A DC Power Supply faulty
« on: November 13, 2021, 01:08:07 pm »
Hi..please help me repair SUGON 3005D 30V 5A DC Power Supply .It give output 53 volts always now..i found damaged resistor in picture..if i desolder wire where resistor was it give same 52.5 volts and show 5AMP on front power supply.
It looks similar board in new KORAD 3005D. Which part can you suggest replace first? i already use R100 resistor and not help..same voltage 53 volts.
Thanks

randomly replacing parts is not the way to go. since you have the full unregulated DC voltage on the output, my guess is that the series transistor got fried; the burned resistor is just a by-problem
my guess too is that it is a Korad-like PSU, so you should find quite a bunch of references here in the forum.

for the very first I'd check the transistors

well my glass ball is actually in service, so you'll have to measure. you're not going to replace parts just by a gut feeling but by measured facts
