Help with Silicon Caps Needed!
« on: March 18, 2019, 12:39:22 pm »
Hi!

Does anybody recognise these Silicon caps used on a surface-mount white plastic switch please?

I found the switches themselves made by C & K but an email from C & K Technical Support said they appear to be "third party made" and they were unable to supply replacements - they sent this picture to me so obviously they knew what I was looking for!

If anyone can recognise these caps/switches from another maker who can supply the silicone caps I'd be ever so grateful - I'm stuck with a job at work missing one of these!!!

It's an enigma that's what it is!! This thing's not fixed because it doesn't want to be fixed!!

Note: This is silicone (flexible polymer of alkyl silanes) not silicon (brittle metalloid semiconductor).

Otherwise, they might be proprietary and very hard to find. I have seen these called "switch boots" and "switch caps" but can't seem to find any that look exactly like what you have.
