American Arium ML4400 Logic Analyser Repair?
« on: January 21, 2017, 08:55:14 am »
i have a Arium ML4400 logic analyser here, it's complete with pods and adaptors for the Motorola 68020 and 68030 CPUs, i am trying to figure out if it's worth a repair to resell

It powers up but it reports a nvram battery failure. If i can fix the nvram battery issue it could be a runner.

Does anyone know anything about these systems? Like if the nvram failure means it's lost important cal data and is now a brick?

There's a bunch of Arium ML4400 stuff in the Xmission Arcade Archive, including PDFs of the manuals:

Doesn't look to be any service manuals sadly.

Thanks Phil

just been reading the user guides from that site, looks like it was a nice system in it's day and the nvram might just be for storing setup/config profiles

with the 68020 & '030 pods it could be very useful to the right person

i will open it up next week and see what the nvram actually is
