tds 724 or others LCD conversion
« on: May 20, 2019, 11:59:08 am »
After fixing the PS, the CRT is gone.
And I need to do a LCD conversion,I look on you tube and the internet I think I saw all,my problem is I need measurements of the hardware to mount the LCD ,and if I use Plexiglas in the front it will have too much reflexión of outside light.
I have a 6.5" LCD but now I see some 7" on epay will this fit?
Thanks                  RI saw some modes with a 12v  to220 relulator will this will be sufficient for the lcd module?

I've just done a CRT to LCD conversion on the Tektronix TDS754D using a NewScope T1 Kit.
Here is a video about it: https://youtu.be/KZfj57kVzEI

too much money for one of these kits.
now I got the  LCD Display Panel Touchscreen G065VN01 V2  and i found a chineese  driver board wich i tested with the scope vga output an provides a good picture and aspect ratio.
Now  the issue to mount this inside the crt cavity, shoud I use silicon glue for this? I have also a pice of plexiglass that I can use,any one with this procedure can give me  some help?
I spend less than $80 for all the materials including the LCD.Thanks
