RIFA X2 with integrated 220 Ohm inrush
« on: November 16, 2021, 05:53:58 pm »
HI guys

I have some equipment with RIFA X2 that did not yet burn but does have cracks
Obviously I want to replace them

Problem is: these have integrated inrush 220 Ohm inrush resistors
On the photo, you can see the resistor inside the resin on the side.

And I want to avoid pitching a separate resistor and capacitor against each other each with one leg in the air.
Especially since this is a mechanical device, with plenty of vibrations.

But I am not sure how to even search for that in DigiKey or Farnell
Who can give me some search terms or tips or model names?

Specifically, these are 0.22uF X2 500V 220 Ohm with 22mm leg spacing.
They are on a mounting board where leg spacing is not very critical

Oh, the "whys" of the datasheets... The information is there not to be an axiomatic truth, but instead each speck of data must be slowly inhaled while carefully performing a deep search inside oneself to find the true metaphysical sense...
