TDS540 no picture (debug logging added)

Hello i got a TDS540 over here. the unit powers-up and it gives at the end -> wandering 2 left digits  on the display ( i would say looks good )

[what happened the days before....]
-  Replaced the SMT electrolytic caps on every board, so also the fron tpanel.
-  Plus a thorough degrease and clean on the boards and cleaned with IPA.


[What needs to be done still...]
- NVram swap ( but it give no error yet at this moment so first fix picture)

after over checking all the work done yet..i putted it back together and ran a debugging log  at the console port while booting:

After that i booted the unit with ACQ & Front panels disconnected still the same no picture.
( so only the cpu/dram board connected to get a picture ).

i checked U190 back to U81 but get lost there, i assume some prerequisites are not in place yet. The boot process doesn t come to an end.  no ticking relays from inputs and all ( when connected) channel leds lite.

anybody experienced with this problem.. or where to look/check. ?

as for the logging it would suggest to check  ERRORID: 149 diagnostic test failure initVSC()

so the troubleshoot should be....

Run the dsyDiagVscDiagReg diagnostic in loop.
This standard register test exercises U81 and its associated Circuitry.

repair any adress bus errors on inputs of U81

Have you tried entering dsyDiagVscDiagReg on the service console port ?

thanks for your response.
No i didnt try but i have to run it in a loop. How do i do that, run in a loop on the console port ? i think it is a toolkit from Tek.

because of the error
 Dsy Wfm0 mem size probe, expect: 1ffff,  actual: 0
Dsy Text0 mem size probe, expect: ffff,  actual: 0

i was looking arround on the the U71,U72  and the U108-U111 but i can not find any missing or broken dataline.

i would suspect that  getting 0 where to suspect 1ffff  would end up finding a missing like  0001 1111 1111 1111 1111 
and where to suspect ffff (like 1111 1111 1111 1111) i am getting a 0.

I probe arround a whole day but didn t find any things in that area so i hope somebody else had such a error and can point me in the right direction.

to make things more simple the circuitry of WMF1 and Text1 are not implemented on this board.

any suggestions..

this afternoon i tested the comands like : dsyDiagVscDiagReg  on the console port. Two things or it is not working or i do something wrong...

if anybody is experenced with VXworks commands please jump in this topic..
