TDS7000B series poweron button & power led unresponsive
« on: June 12, 2022, 07:49:36 am »
Hi i bought  damaged TDS7000B series scope a while ago something went throught the display and touchpanel. so both Total destroyed. after replacement i found put that the poweron button & poweron led located on the green foil-PCB in the lowerleft corner gave no response. i could poweron with inside button but not very handy of course.

i tried to trace the power switch & led lines from PCmotherboard to button and so with the led. the cabling starts on the pc motherboard with a 8 pin Grey connector afterwards it is connected to the black chassis part ( like a comport) on the powerpc. next to that connector on the far end on the powerpc board on the fanwall site are two small black flatcable chassis
parts (about 4cm and 2,5cm) .

from there on 2 links from the switch and 2 from the led go to the display interconnect pcb.  i would guess that they were easy to follow over that interconnect board to the foil-pcb connector, but no.

complete lost out there.
is there somebody who had a similar problem or a spare display interconnect pcd laying arround for test purpose.  with the part number: 679-5497-c0 or 679-5497-00

any help or tips are welkome to solve this "simple" problem.
is there something i over looked?

the new touch panel and new display connected to this interconnect pcb are both working ok and buy a new interconnect pcb which is later not the problem feels very weird...
