Title: Tek 2465A 50ohm input repair
Post by: Gregory on November 08, 2019, 06:32:46 am
Hello guys! Recently I bought a Tektronix 2465A scope, it`s a really nice unit!

I discovered that the channel 1 50ohm input was not working.

I oppened tha atennuator module and saw that one of the RF resistors of the input 50ohm atenuator was blew.

My only option was to solder two thruhole resistors to get the channel working again..

I tested it with a frequency 400Mhz sweep and the channel response incredbly is similar to the original channel 2.

I will test it with a fast pulse generator.. I was afraid that the inductance of the thruhole resistors would not give me a flat response, but..

When I get the results of the pulse tests I will refresh this topic!
