TEK3054B- What are the symptom of a bad Dallas NVM/RTC?
« on: December 28, 2024, 08:19:50 pm »
My twenty year old, owned since new, TEK3054 scope doesn't keep proper time and must be dropping NVM settings- what does a TEK3054B do if it has a bad RTC?

The older ones wouldn't boot- mine boots and acts fine but loses time.

i have a symptom where my machine after some time being on will go into sort of crash/boot loop.  Most thought this was power supply but I don't think it is- happens with external power.

Back in the day slowing RTC time was a first indication of weak battery.
So if you need a backup, do it when you can.
