I am preparing to open my scope and change out all of the known problem components... Electrolytic caps, carbon comp resistors, Rifa caps, paper caps, etc. I am concerned that I might miss something, either on the board, or in making my parts order. So, I am hopeful that you can point me to a known, good, comprehensive list of the parts that should be changed out, as a matter of course in maintenance.
I have searched the web, but I only find incomplete lists, or lists that include "ghost"parts... a term I am using for parts incorrectly labled in the manufacturer parts list, such as tantalum caps listed as electrolytics...
I really love my 2215. Even though I have a digital scope, an analog scope is the right tool for particular jobs... such as looking at curve traces. I would hate to lose it over a simple component failing and cooking it, or leaking and eating up the board, etc.
After swapping out the parts, I will need a good thread on calibrating it... But, only one bite of the elephant at a time.
Thank you for your help.
