Successful HP 3101-2046 DPDT Switch Repair!
« on: January 31, 2024, 05:00:23 pm »
I had a broken DPDT switch on my HP 4277A LCZ meter that unfortunately I could not find a replacement for on Ebay or Digikey.  There were no comparable/compatible replacements that I could find, particularly since these are nonshorting switches.  Since the only part that was broken was the plastic lever toggle bit, I decided to design and print a replacement toggle using Fusion360 and the SLS printer we have in the lab.  My replacement part was printed using PA12 nylon and then finished to a nice glossy black using a propane torch.  It works great, and feels pretty much identical to the original switch.

Can you post the file, in the HP parts thread, so that this can be used by others as well. Nice work on making the new body.
