Tektronix 2252 scope fuse holder "cap" replacement
« on: January 25, 2022, 09:38:32 pm »
Had my Tek 2252 out of the house for a day and then shelved it for a few months.. Now putting it back on the bench noticed that the fuse and cover have gone missing and nowhere to be found.

I opened up the scope and seems like getting to the power supply will be a real pain if I need to replace the fuse holder. Since this less than 30 years old, I'm hoping a replacement cap can be sourced instead. It's clearly a spring-loaded bayonet push-n-turn type which most probably is flush with the back panel.

The tube is smooth on the rim (no keying or cutouts). The contacts are on the bottom (in) and sides (out) and there is no spring. So the spring is in the cap. The fuse must be a 5x20 type.

Any help in identifying the part MUCH appreciated, I want to train my kid (10yo) on this.

Right after posting I realized Tekwiki must have images and they do. Seems to be a gray cap.

I've ordered from them, thanks again. My ebay-fu is not what it used to be...
