Hello,
I got my first real equipment if you call it that. Ever since I was 12 I want an oscilloscope finally got one 26 years later, but it's nearly useless. I am unable to utilize the trigger circuitry without the 2 missing 155-0032-01 ICs.
I have this digital storage adapter which I'm assuming is for analog scopes. It has its own triggering mechanism not to mention storage. So I was thinking if I can trigger the triggering circuit in the oscilloscope to do a sweep when the adapter sends out a trigger signal I can get something useful. This way I can use the triggering circuitry within that adapter to compensate for the missing parts in my scope.
I know it's possible cuz when I flip the switch on my triggering selector it does a single sweep. I measured the trigger output voltage on the adapters trigger output of 5v 500 Hz.

Here are the connections on the back of the adapter

if the ICs were like $5 a piece or so I would go that route but they're about $40 each. At that price, I can find a more modern digital otoscope for around $100 on eBay so that's my dilemma.
Any thoughts would be appreciated
Thank you

Was thinking of taping into the Tunnel Diode Driver at Q650 and/or Q652

The answer is in your other thread: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/beginners/tektronix-465-how-to-trigger-with-missing-trigger-ic/msg2481738/#msg2481738 (https://www.eevblog.com/forum/beginners/tektronix-465-how-to-trigger-with-missing-trigger-ic/msg2481738/#msg2481738)

Which for the OP means duplicate posting is not welcome here.
OP.
Tek 155-0032-01 has apparently been replaced by 155-0217-00 according to the Sphere website $29 ea

Dunno if there is an alternative but if you study this page carefully you'll find the master cross ref file available for download:

keep delete it but will not delete. reposted in beginner and deleted the first one. not sure why it won't delete.

Took a bit of digging, but here's the manual:
ftp://ttl.arcadetech.org/TTL/Test_Equipment/B&K%20BK%20Precision/B&K_2501_Digital_Storage_Adapter.pdf
Great way to turn a 100MHz scope into a 1MHz scope ;D
Sell the adapter and use the money to buy the ICs. Also, put a request in the wanted/for sale section; somebody might have a parts scope

thank u. I was not able to find anything on that, ty
Just want it to trigger so I can start learning my electronic theory and practice some of the themost popular circuits and do measurements. ill either get the ICs for this scope here soon or go with ordering a working scope.

I have a parts 465 and 465B both with intact Trigger Boards. If you're interested PM me and we'll talk.

Fusion......tried sending you a PM but your inbox is full. Your parts have been sent. PM me for the tracking number.

Yea I seen that. Its fixed now. Got the parts in today. Popped it in the scope and everything is working beautifully. Thought i'll never see the day this scope triggers. Thanks again!

Excellent! Glad it's working for you. :-+ :-+
