Just replace all the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply section. It's less time and money than troubleshooting each one.
The blue Sangamo (in 2235) caps have epoxy seals that crack with age and they dry out. The Sprague 672D is also very old, time to change them.
For the 2235A Tek upsized all the +/-8.6V, +5.2V rail capacitors from 840uF to 1,000uF. Total six. I use UCC EKYB250ELL102MJ20S, Digikey 565-3892-ND, 1,000uF 25V to fit and has lower ESR, under $1 ea.
