Tektronix AWG2005 frequency error
« on: August 05, 2024, 07:56:42 pm »
My AWG2005 has a constant frequency error such as when setting 10KHz the output is 16KHz. As the technical service manual has no schematics I would be happy for a hint where to look for the error.

Have you looked at the waveform/changed load type/changed counter settings to verify that the 16kHz is actually what's coming out?

It's pretty unusual to be that far off and not be a multiple of the frequency or something - I suspect the 16kHz you're measuring is an artifact from the combination of measurement/output settings or a symptom of a different fault.

Thank you for your comments.
I monitored a sinosoidal output with my TDS3054 Tektronix oscilloscope and it measure the frequency to be the 16KHz
I must admit I do not understand how frequecies are generated based on the NVRAM models
kind regards
Kurt

if set it to 20 KHz, won't it be 26 KHz?
It is possible that some offset value is set.
