I'm actually working on an MSO4104(non B) and my board doesn't even match that manual. The original manual didn't have the JTAG interface in the service manual. Does anyone have a 4104B that can take a picture of that J9201? I assume it will look similar across the board. Once we have the right interface I can find the pinout. |

Manualslib wasn't very supportive. Many models were leading to few manuals. If console is somewhere, like is quite possible, at least one model has a command "Console" in the ROM, where can it be, where it can't be. What kind of a connection is the option module, standard USB? How far from the CPU is the probe? Is it possible that RS-232 trigger is used as a part of a console port? |

The Tx Pin is located on the 20-pin connector at the bottom. With the screen facing up, its the 2nd pin in the first row. Good read on the topic: https://debugmo.de/2013/03/whats-inside-tektronix-dpo5034/ |

I also bought a DPO4054, whis is also stuck at splash screen. Replaced U380 prescaler, but nothing changed. My bootlog suggests either DEMUX or RAM, maybe... For clarification: The ADC talks to the RAM via the DEMUX chips. There are 4 512Mbyte chips per DEMUX. I tried to layout the functional groups below, based on my guess.
