Tektronix TDS 2012B,just backlight and nothing on the display.

Hi all ive the chance of one  Tektronix TDS 2012B scope that fires up to a totaly  blank display,ie backlight comes on but a blank screen,is it likley to be fixable or do i leave it?

Is there any signal on the probe compensator output?

Is this the one on ebay? I saw that one too, if it is that one. Let us know how you get on if you do get it.

yes its on fleabay beeing sold by freespirit,i got outbid so left it,i just got a tek2430 that ive repaired,i now have 5 scopes,an old 453 50mhz bw,a kenwood DCS-8200 dso 50mhz bw,an hp 54503a 500mhz bw dso,and an old heath pc scope 50mhz bw so dont realy need any more,unless i can find one with a higher sampling depth cheap lol.

out of all my scopes the old 453 is my goto scope,lovely to use compared to the dso scopes.
