Hi,
I'm attempting to convert a couple of TDS540C CPU boards to color and use the standard Tektronix Nucolor display (the CRT with shutter and HV module). This thread
https://www.eevblog.com/forum/repair/conversion-tektronix-tds500-to-tds700-color-oscilloscope/ discusses adding the missing ram and changing a resistor, but assumes that one will use a 3rd party lcd display using the external VGA port.
However, in one section, a user (PerpetualWalnut) did this same conversion (e.g. 540 to full 754), but only gives a few clues to some of the parts required. He shows the top and bottom of the board (enclosures 1 & 2), but fails to mention the resistor values on the bottom. Enclosure 3 shows the bottom of a TDS784D board that I bought, but someone had removed the two resistors in the bottom left (circled). The other resistors that are replaced (shown in enclosures 2 and 3) are all 1002 (10K).
Could someone please take a look at their TDS754/784 C or D CPU board and inform let us know the values?
thanks,
Strick
