Title: Tektronix TDS7104 Sdram Memory Modules
Post by: Johnny10 on December 30, 2019, 03:20:27 pm
I have my TDS7104 open for Cmos battery change, what a PITA, I want to upgrade memory amount but I am confused about specs of modules.

I have done this in another unit a few years back and can't remember what I learned.
Some modules only show half of installed memory if they are wrong type.

The present memory (in Pic)is marked NEC PC100-322-620 168 Pin.

I have found PC100-222-620 256MB memory module that looks similar with that space between Ram chips.
But will this work?

I think I am OK.

Found Datasheet for Infinion memory showing only difference between numbering is MHz speed.

256MB memory modules must have 16 chips on them to be compatible.

Thanks Jwalling
I ordered two 256MB modules with 8 chips each side.

Got my new chips and all is fine.
I now have 512MB main memory on 440BLX board.

Now I am wondering what TDS7104 Series Oscilloscopes think of adding memory to PPC board?
Does it make any difference?
