Tektronix TDS7104
« on: August 10, 2023, 12:11:25 pm »
Looking for some help with a late Tek TDS7104. It died last year while I was using it. The Dallas ram battery finally discharged. So it now hangs trying to load the scope application. I have fitted a new battery module but looking at the debug output it tells me the boot file is corrupt. Nothing new there. However during the boot it gives me a count down from 7 to hit any key to stop auto-boot. Nothing I do will stop the boot process which eventually just cycles round. My RS232 key input goes to the MAX232CPE on the Power PC and comes out of pin 9 on the chip as TTL.  Is there something I am missing. (No not buy a new scope)
