Tektronix TDS784A - acquisition borard test Fail
« on: January 21, 2025, 01:42:11 pm »
Hi all.
I have a TDS 784A with a problem and I hope someone can point me in the right direction where to start to solve the problem. The error is as follows

(digPixelatorConf ............... ***FAIL***
..error details:
ERRORID: 153 diagnostic test failure for DEMUX A
Bad pixelation, 2 errors

ERR, in pixelator, pipeB, demux 198
ERRORID: 153 diagnostic test failure **Error count in 1 pu_diag seq passes:
ERRORID: 153 diagnostic test failure .. 1 = Acquisition
ERRORID: 153 diagnostic test failure thermistor = 107
)

I welcome any input

First part seems to be a bit misleading.
DEMUX A can be the same for many things.

Second part thermistor then being one of those the DEMUX A is demuxing and showing a value out of range, high or low.

thanks for your answer.
at first glance i don't see anything special and everything seems to work fine. regarding the alarm (thermistor) i only get to see it when i put the dipswitch on extended error report.

So it's possible that the machine has another thermistor or several that can vote the erroring one to be problematic by itself.
