On my long-list of small things to do was to replace the cruddy feet on this Tenma isolation transformer. I bought the replacement feet 11 months ago!
The original rubber feet turned into something I can't even describe. I even had to dig out the Phillips head screw to get them off, and even that, they were bonded to the chassis by years of its weight and probably heat. The isolation transformer would rock on my work bench.
What made this small project go even slower (2+ hours) was that the new feet are larger than the old ones and I needed to drill new holes. Some of the holes were very close to important components too.
All I can say is.... It's done





She sits nice and flat and I see no deflection in the new feet. They have a hard foam core that looks to stand up to the weight of this machine (~30 pounds). The feet are a little pricey but they look to be up to the task!
The interior looked nice and clean too. I just dusted things off and put the top back on:
