Hantek 6022BE service / testing?
« on: January 31, 2017, 05:31:00 pm »
Hi,

I just bought a Hantek 6022BE oscilloscope.

After pluggin the Hantek in, Windows 10 doesn't start the driver installation as it should when a new device is detected.

Linux 16.06 doesn't change the usb device list when compared with lsusb.

Win 7 detects that something is plugged in but if you install the driver, it ends to not detected unknown device.

All ports and cables are fully functional and tested.

I opened the oscilloscope and detected soldering of the ADC-chip under the sink has the following:

counting from the dot near label U8, some pins are soldered together, I can't say if that's a mistake or not (not too professional looking...):

- 3+ 4
- 5+6+7
- 9+10

Please see the attached pictures. (The black fabric tape on top of the sink is put to control the light reflections )

My board version is 1.00.2 , board says 012-05573BH (a lot number ? ), serial 61040771.

The drivers are the newest downloaded on 01/20/2017, I also tried the driver included in the package.

Sending this back to celebrating China costs 46 € (!!!) from Finland (and takes some time...), so I'd prefer to report well enough to avoid the shipping and waiting.

Can anyone help with :

- the pins
- tell some electrical test routines originated from the manufacturer
- how to dump something out of the equipment

https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/hantek-6022be-20mhz-usb-dso/

The power consumption is measured 350 mA from USB, Cypress in Hantek is programmed to say 100 mA ...

Hi Scooper!

I belive you already solve the issue but, in case that someone is reading this post, I just want to add that those soldered pins at the ADC chip are normal. I have the same DSO working, and I can see the same on that chip.

Regards.

Whatever the thing you plug in linux it *should* at least
put some event notification (use dmesg or else)

device is recognized ONLY USING USB ID 04b5.6022
the 04b4.6022 Cypress CPU is recognized as device but WILL NOT WORK
it looks like no firmware...

So you should UPLOAD SIGROK new firmware ...

BEFORE firmware upload the device is the Cypress CPU as 04b4.6022
AFTER  firmware upload the device is correctly identified as 04b5.6022 HantekDSO6022BE

and it also works even better than original firmware...

In case you have no event notification your problem may lie on the USB
