AIM LDO (Low Distortion Oscillator) 501
« on: November 01, 2017, 03:55:32 pm »
Does anyone have a schematic or manual for this beast?

It's a microprocessor controlled audio oscillator but unfortunately has an intermittent problem with the range control buttons locking up.

The attached jpeg is form the October 1985 advert in Studio Sound magazine.

Even without a manual, may first suspects would be old caps in the supply and maybe oxidized contacts of switches and relays. For the contacts it may be enough to do a little exercise by switching them several time. Sockets might be a problem to.

Such old computer parts might also get close to EPROM data retention time.
