TL866
« on: September 20, 2018, 11:26:15 am »
Hello; I am having an installation problem with my TL866 programmer. I have 2 years, and used several times the cd provided to install the software in the computer, without having any problem. But this morning; impossible to install; an error message appears at each installation: not available! .I have tried on the site directly: same thing! My desktop is an HP, operating system: windows 10, 64 bits. I have to read the contents of a memory M48Z02-200PC1 (not available either in the list of registered memories). Can someone help me ????? Thank you very much!

Hello everyone! I tried and tried again today, nothing to do, it's totally blocked! I even did a test on a second computer, downloaded the right version on the site directly; I get the same error message !! 2 years I own this programmer, and I have not encountered any problem installing software on the site or since the DVD provides! I wonder if the software is well accepted by windows 10, 64 bits! ??? Can someone help me ???? I attach the photo of the error encountered on the screen |O |O |O

Just change the destination drive, from D: to C:

Click browse in the window under that, and pick another folder, or just type it into the line.

Installed this software just a couple days ago, don't know why it defaults to D:, especially since I don't have a D drive... but just selecting a different folder worked fine.  I'm having a different error when loading the software, saying "config file error", but despite that it seems to read and write fine with the exception of pin detection.

You may not be able to install directly under C:\ since Win7 and up have permissions set to prevent modification of the root directory of the boot disk, mostly so that critical OS files can't be maliciously changed or installed.  I would recommend installing under "C:\Program Files (x86)\MiniPro".

If youre on 64 bits, and the software ask for an upgrade,  the upgrade may render the tl866 useless until you re-flash it, i had to recover it in a 32 bit machine.

But the software run fine on win 10 x64 with no problems, not the upgrade in my case.

Normally the real software link is : http://www.autoelectric.cn/en/tl866_main.html  but it redirect to the same page look a like : http://www.xgecu.com/en/

Autoelectric are the original makers

And finally you have an tl866 thread on eevblog    you should continue there instead.
