As to what you are seeing…. It is a capillary action LCD bleed that expands evenly from the point of failure unless influenced by differential pressure on the panel. If you press around the perimeter of the circle it will likely start to change shape as the fluid is forced elsewhere. As I said…. Terminal. I just replace the LCD panel on any laptops suffering frin this issue and all is well again. LCD TV’s can be more of a challenge due to lower availability of donors with working LCD panels.A TV can easily become beyond economic repair these days as prices of new units have dropped significantly.
