Trying to figure out what this resistor is

TimNJ:
I recognized the pink text from TA-I’s catalog (series RAS):

https://www.tai.com.tw/product/5c8yP3CZM4PXDqq7/685ZtD4gg2Qm5uXf

I don’t think text color is at all standardized to mean anything(?) Does the hat over the first number really indicate anything about type?

Is it film resistor that are full deposit and aren't cut trimmed? Implying full width current path and maybe higher surge withstand capacity?

I had to look it up too. Basically normal resistors they use a laser to trim them and basically fine tune them to the exact resistance.  These I guess they don't "trim" at all and are just made to a super high tolerance from the start.  From the sounds of it allowing for a higher max working voltage.
