TS100 display fault
« on: January 24, 2020, 12:27:06 am »
My TS100 display has gone very dark. It's not completely out but is only just there, invisible unless in dark conditions.

This happened fairly suddenly (it's not OLED fadeout) and I wondered if the display brightness had been turned down - but there's no such setting. I'm running default firmware.

Anybody else seen this problem ?

Sounds like there is brightness setting in this FW:
https://github.com/Ralim/ts100/issues/415

But may be a HW death:

it's using stock firmware, though.
And it didn't burn in - it was bright one day and dim the next time I used it.

It might be the OLED connection problem, when the OLED dim happened, try to slightly press the OLED connection area, such as the welding area or the flexible cable or IC area, if the dimming can be changed, it might be the OLED connection problem.
