TSX1820 - Output offset
« on: July 04, 2023, 03:18:04 pm »
Hi,

I am trying to adjust my TSX1820 (With the Programmable front panel) as it appears to have a fault, but im not getting much success.

The issue is that if for example i set the PSU to 13.4V, the display reads 13.4V but in actualy fact it outputs 13.8VDC when in CV mode. But if i set a "low" current limit, and pull the PSU from CV mode into CC mode, the Volt meter on the PSU will then read exactly the correct value.

I suspect this means there is an issue with the CV mode regulation circuit, but as perhaps the easiest thing first, i have run through the "adjustment" proceedure in the service manual, and its made no difference at all. Oddly the Volt meter adjustment didnt do anything until the PSU was again in CC mode.

Coincidently my Oscilloscope has developed a trigger fault this week, so im pretty deflated that my TE around me is all seemingly dying!

Thanks,
Taylor

Have you tried different values, are there any patterns?
