Ubiquity wifi puck
« on: August 28, 2020, 07:59:27 pm »
I got bored today and disassembled one of my ubiquity wifi puck things and noticed something a bit odd, there's an area that looks like it should have a can over it. I was wondering if anyone could confirm that it should have a can or not1055970-0

also anyone ever toss some antennas on to the antenna ports? these pucks were purchased second hand so idk who was inside before me. they are fully functional from what i can tell

Lots of electronics comes ready for more RF shielding but without it. Your wifi puck likely can have an antenna added but defaults to some included antenna(s) like perhaps the white things at the very bottom of the picture. Cant really tell.

yea the 2 metal bits off either side are the included antenna. my main curiosity was if whoever had this before me removed the can and it originally came with one, but that seems like a lot of work on there part
