Test individual GPU phases ?
« on: May 29, 2021, 09:44:17 am »
I'm rebuilding the GPU VRM on a GTX 970. It has 6 phases.
All phases are grouped on the output (usually at the inductor end facing the GPU). How do I know that each individual phase works ? Is removing the inductors (in fact isolating each phase from the group) the only way ?

Good diagram from the datasheet of the multi phase buck controller:

Scope the input (switched) side of the inductors.
