need pinout of rts5803, Uni-T IR cam self destructs
« on: December 27, 2023, 05:10:17 am »
So, I have a uni-t UTi260M
It was working until I dropped it.
opened it to find disconnected pcb to usb-c connector cable connector and noticed how sharp of a turn the cable made. reconnected it
then after a while, it stopped working again. Opened it to find that at a pinch point, the cable broke completely. It was made of flex PCB and was pre pitched from factory

can see the breakpoint in photo.

Have you guys had any luck, trying to get replacements from Uni T?

Could it be, it's a standard phone connector, epoxied into their connector holder
Help if you recognise it

Otherwise I'd have to resolve to soldering wires from electromagnet to connectors to make my own cable which is pain in the cunnilingus

Is it at all possible for you to repair the tracks on the flex PCB?
Love the smell of burning capacitor electrolyte in the morning.

Failed at flex pcb repair.
Maybe I should work at the other end where I can see a chip labeled Realtek rts5803 (it's an USB2.0 PC CAMERA CONTROLLER WITH COLOR PROCESSING)

What the connector boils down to.
Man, USB c is so confusing
I wish I knew more about it.
Usb 2.0 used to be so simple with 4 wires, here, there are multiple.
I know, the chip used in it is USB 2.0. i wonder if i can just cut open the USB A end of USB C otg connector and solder them to have em working

Apparently there are 6 wires going out of the usb connector into the camera's connector
