UNI-T UT61E dial selector contacts
« on: March 03, 2017, 03:53:37 pm »
Hello all,

I have been reading your forum for quite a lot of time now, but I have just registered, because I made a stupi mistake: trying to install an LED backlight in my UNI-T UT61E, I have managed to break one of those tiny copper switch contacts that fit on the selector dial.

Since then, of course my DMM has gone berserk  |O

Does anyone know where I can find (or how to make) one of those things?

Thanks!

André

Why not try to make one from an old tin cover from scrap electronics? I made one for my old Fluke 12B

That's actually a pretty good idea!

Thanks, ZomBiE80!

I will try to find some and test my skills with an x-acto knife and a drill. Will post my results later.

Thanks again!

André

I have one of those cheap meters torn apart in front of me. If you can give me the demensions of the contact, I will measure one in this meter and tell you if it is the same size.
