UNI-T UT71D
« on: November 13, 2021, 10:41:11 am »
Hi,

I have had this multimeter for many years, it worked very well.
Recently, while measuring DC voltage, I heard a beep, so I turned off the multimeter.
After turning it on again, it turned out that the measurement in the DC range cannot be made, the display shows nothing, the other ranges work normally.
Check the motherboard, but I didn't notice anything,
I measured the current consumption from the battery in the n damaged DC range, it is several times greater than in the other ranges.
Maybe someone had a similar damage and could help me fix it.

Thanks!

edit:
Mine is the 71B model, it doesn't have the selector like yours.
Review:

And this should then be the 71D schematic, follow the DC voltage path, some component on that line will be burned.

The measurement can only be made on AC voltage.

Most likely, the M430F149 chip is damaged.
