Uniden CR-2021
« on: October 05, 2022, 08:34:18 am »
Dodgy cap I expect.

My nice CR-2021 is silent for a couple of minuites after turn on for bursting back to life with normal function.
Switch off-  back on exactly the same thing. Same delay every time.
The trouble is, I can't track it down. Does anyone have an idea where this cap is and/or a schematic.

Google suggests it's very similar to the RS DX400. There appears to be a schematic for that available here https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/radio_shac_realistic_dx_400_dx400.html

Try heating different areas with a heatgun or hairdryer and see if anything changes.
