System failure 20 mean two things.
First DC Over Voltage and second Earth fault so, verify wiring. If nothing obvious contact Atlas Copco.

If the stupid timekeeper IC battery dies, the compressor will show error 200, not 20.

I've had a topic on the subject long time ago, another member sent me a PM, about flashing the device;

Even if you put new one or copy one chip reprogramming of the whole elektronikon is needed because they have security and parity test inside every ROM.

No programming for your unit is possible by any third part. Only A.C or a registered repair agency.

I'm actually trying to do the same. I've Elektronikon I and it's broken, it doesn't pull GA7FF screw relays that control the contactors. I replaced the darlington array between the HC08 and the relays, but still the same problem. It looks like the HC08 i/o line that drives the relays is just dead, it never changes its state.

Before I replace the MCU, I would need to get the flash, EEPROM and probably other nv-mem content (hour counters, settings) before I replace the MCU. I'm trying to read it through MON08 interface, but did not manage to connect yet with in-circuit BDM.

I guess the unknown variables here are:
- device power for HC08 during MON08 connection: system or MON08 connection?
- security code
- connection parameters (clock supply, divider, HC08 sub-type etc)

Already did some preliminary debugging from MON08 connection during attempts and it's voltages seemed to be expected. Maybe my data-pin is fried too - or I'm doing something really wrong here.

At least I've learned a lot while getting this far, regardless the final result. :)
