Unknown SMD Inductors of a Network Switch
« on: December 26, 2024, 04:07:44 pm »
Hello,
I have a PCB of a network switch "GO-SW-16G" and by mistake I ripped off two inductors when I was cleaning it. Do you know what type/characteristics/footprint must have these inductors?

Do those have four pads?  They look like common-mode chokes, and there are plenty of these available for ethernet use.  Look at TDK and Coilcraft.
We'll search out every place a sick, twisted, solitary misfit might run to! -- I'll start with Radio Shack.

Yes they have four pins so as you say must be common-mode chokes. I will make a search. Thanks you very much for your reply.

Does this help?

Essentially, the two chokes constitute a bandpass filter.

Thanks for your reply. The design which fits with my PCB is the blackwhite that you posted.
The only chokes that I found are the below. The one is 800 Ohm @100MHz (Replace part number: WCM 2012F2SF-801-N) like this on the attached pdf that you posted, but the other 100 Ohm @100MHz I can't find it... I fould a close value  90 Ohm @100MHz (WCM 3216F2SF-900T04). Do you beleive that this tolerance is acceptable? If you know any other site that I could find "2 LINE COMMON MODE CHOKE", please tell me.
