USB receiver repair
« on: January 23, 2024, 04:49:52 am »
Hi, I'm fairly new to electronics repair but have done a few basic repairs and am currently attempting to solder a male USB plug onto a PCB which got torn off. Three of the pins are fine but the one I have highlighted yellow on the attached image has had the pad torn off. I'm happy to run a wire from the pin to wherever it's meant to go but it's not clear to me where that is. Any help would be appreciated.

That is 5 Volt into the device.  Will go direct to the Vcc pin(s) of ICs and/or the input pin of a voltage regulator.  Need to see a good photo of the complete board.

If I needed to place a bet I'd say the cap just below it.
Keyboard error: Press F1 to continue.
