Using rosin to find a short on a PCB

Stumbled upon this video, interesting never heard of this technique before. Good stuff starts at around the 5:00 minute mark.

yes it's quite common.. either rosin smoke as he does or rosin dust applied with a fine brush, but i think a quick spray with isopropyl alcohol is faster (you watch where it evaporates quickly).
