Title: Vane VP-950 Dynometer
Post by: dalford1987 on April 13, 2021, 10:57:09 am
Hi All,

First post, long shot but does anyone have technical information or know about the Vane VP-950 chassis dynometer. I'm currently repairing one, I have repaired the control PCB before and had some success. I believe I'm getting voltage spikes from the retarder brake on the control PCB many TTL IC's failed. I'm willing to pay for service information, it would make my life easier.

Regards,

David Alford

I couldn't get any VANE related technical docs for a VP708 or 7100 - had to reverse engineer all the wiring and pcbs.  The operating manual is likely all you can hope for.

Hi,
Thanks for reply, yeah I've done a bit of reverse engineering on it. I suspect I might have a wiring issue (rubbed through) somewhere but as its intermittent I was hoping for a circuit/miracle, bit short on them currently 😀

I thought Mainline Dyno inherited the Vane product line years ago and were providing limited support.  Have you tried contacting them?

Yes I've contacted mainline but they told me they have no information etc. on the VANE stuff anymore
