Vintage car radio upgrade
« on: March 08, 2019, 11:25:35 pm »
I am studying this company's products in view of upgrading an early 60's era car radio.  Most of the companies I have found selling these modules do the retrofit themselves for a $$.  I have found no documentation detailing the modules themselves.  It appears that at least on some instances, they tap off the tuning cap for the radio and the pots for the audio.  They may even use the existing radio LO for tuning...cannot tell for sure.

Hoping somebody on my favorite forum has some experience.

I could pay to have this done, but what fun is that??  Besides it is not for me but for my brother and if I had to admit to him that his PhD brother paid somebody else to do this job, I would never live it down.
