vintage components on ebay.
« on: February 27, 2023, 06:42:30 pm »
found this seller

seems to have found a massive load of vintage stuff from Pye/Philips/Siemens/Neohm/GEC/Plessey and loads more..

a lot of old VR and such.
i messaged them and they have thousands of IC's and TTL, Logics and such, RF and other related items..

maybe worth a message or a look, they said they are selling a lot of vintage components back to china where they want quality vintage items for restorations..ironic..!!

LOL 5 quid + shipping for some junk electrolytic capacitors https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255971883288?

They might have some gems in the mix but there's clearly some old junk too.

If they are willing to sort and list all those in a manner which is readily searcheable on eBay, they are doing a very good service for anyone that happens to need one of those specialized parts.  Sure, some of their listings are 'nope', but all it takes is one hit to save the day.
A 3.5 digit 4.5 digit 5 digit 5.5 digit 6.5 digit 7.5 digit DMM is good enough for most people.

If they're going to try to sell random electrolytics they'd be better off putting the whole lot of those up together. It's only specific unique parts that are going to be worth selling in small batches.
