Finding a replacement cap: peh534mbi4150a3
« on: February 21, 2016, 06:17:35 pm »
Hi!

I have an APC UPS, which has a blown up cap I need to replace. But it seems that the one I need is very hard to come by. I am not an electrical engineer, so I have no idea what would be a suitable replacement.

Could anyone help me to find a replacement? The specs for the original one are here: http://80.93.56.75/pdf/0/2/0/5/7/02057509.pdf

Thank you
++T

As best as I can tell, it is a KEMET Aluminum electrolytic from the PEH534 series.

1500uf 63VDC with an unknown case size and unknown (but suspected to be snap in) terminals.  You'll have to determine case size and termination mode from the existing capacitor.

The Kemet datasheet:
http://www.kemet.com/Lists/ProductCatalog/Attachments/398/KEM_A4024_PEH534.pdf

And a rather cryptic notice that Kemet transferred the manufacture of the PEH534MBI4150A3 from Suzhou (China) to
Evora (Portugal) and have assigned the a new KEMET part number of A561CK152U063F:

I won't attempt to load the link in your original post, so I may be repeating what you already know.

Thanks to blueskull for the correction.
